Executive Committee

The membership and function of the Executive Committee are defined by the University of Toronto Act, 1971. The Committee is responsible for setting the agenda of meetings of the Governing Council, overseeing the discharge of the Council's accountability requirements, approving external appointments and certain appointments to senior University positions, assigning new issues to Boards and Committees as appropriate, and confirming certain Academic Board decisions.
