Glen Bandiera is Professor at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine.  Dr. Bandiera has served for twenty years at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, first as a staff emergency physician and Trauma Team Leader, and then as Chief of Emergency Medicine for two 5-yr terms. He concurrently served as Associate Dean, Postgraduate Medical Education at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine for the last seven years at St. Michael’s Hospital.

Dr. Bandiera currently holds the position of Executive Director of Specialty Education at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Select past national positions include Chair of the Accreditation Committee and Emergency Medicine Specialty Committee of the Royal College, President of the Canadian Association for Medical Education, and founding Director of the Canadian Association for Medical Education Foundation.  

Dr. Bandiera’s contributions to institutional governance include past membership on the Boards of Directors of St. Michael’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Health Science Centre in Toronto. He currently serves on the Shaw Festival Board of Directors in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario and CPSO Council. 

Dr. Bandiera holds an BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, an MD from McMaster University where he completed an Emergency Medicine Residency with advanced training in Trauma Resuscitation, and an MEd in Higher Professional Education from the University of Toronto (OISE).
