Membership

The Discipline Appeals Board consists of:

• the Senior Chair and the 2 (two) Associate Chairs from the University Tribunal; 
• 6 (six) members or former members of the University Affairs Board or of Governing Council of whom at least 4 (four) shall be students; and 
• 6 (six) members or former members of the Academic Board of whom 3 (three) shall be students and 3 (three) faculty members

Appeals to the Discipline Appeals Board are heard by a panel of 4 (four) members.

When hearing an appeal from a decision of the University Tribunal, the panel must include:

• A Chair (either the Senior Chair or an Associate Chair of the University Tribunal) 
• At least 1 (one) student 
• At least 1 (one) faculty or administrative staff member

When hearing an appeal from a decision made by a Hearing Officer, the panel must include: 

• A Chair (either the Senior Chair or an Associate Chair of the University Tribunal) 
• At least 2 (two) students 
• At least 1 (one) faculty or administrative staff member
